ABOUT ME

Let's Talk About You.

Being in a band is the most creatively rewarding and fulfilling thing you can do, it's also one of the most stressful and inconsistent lifestyles you can live. You want to spread your message and connect with people, to make a record that turns the most important thing in your life into a career that allows you to tour the world and live off your band.

But it’s hard.

Maybe you’ve released a few records but the recordings you made didn’t connect in the way you’d hoped. The Spotify numbers didn’t come back the way you’d expected. You got a few shows out of it, even with that really awesome mid-tier band who are living the life you’re really aiming for, but you’re not touring the world yet and the labels you emailed the songs to just didn’t get back to you.

It’s like you’re stuck in a life you don’t belong in, working yourself to the bone so you can head out on that weekender and take a Friday off without your boss threatening to fire you or cut your hours. It just sucks to put so much work into your art and it not make the impact it deserves to.

Committing to a big studio project can seem scary. What if it’s super expensive? What if you have to take a ton of time off work? How do you know your music’s good enough? Is there a way you can make your dream record, the music that allows you to push your career to the next level, without a big label advance?

Yes there is. I want to help you create this record.

I care so much about your musical output that I will relentlessly push you to produce the most creative, attention grabbing, unique music you possibly can.  The bands i've worked with have tens of millions of Spotify plays, hit the Billboard top 40 album charts, signed to record labels like Hopeless, Deathwish Inc, Big Scary Monsters, No Sleep, Topshelf, Sony, they regularly tour the UK, USA, Canada, Europe and play on huge Festival line-ups like Leeds & Reading, Slam Dunk and Download Festival

So how can you get started? We can have a chat over email to find out what your goals are, what kind of record you want to make and where you hope it will take you, then we'll get into the studio and make that record.

Let’s work together to make a production that really resonates with people, that allows you to spread your message by touring the world, signing to a label that can push your music and appearing on the most impactful Spotify playlists. Because your music could be incredible, but if it’s not packaged in a way that captures people’s hearts and minds then there’s no momentum to your career, no moving forward, the same life you lead now. I want to help take you from being a great local band with unfulfilled potential to the band that trancends your genre, a unique artist that rises up and out of your scene.

The Studio

I work out of the Chairworks Studio just outside of Leeds, UK.

It's a beautiful recording studio with a huge double height drum room, six isolated recording spaces to facilitate live recording, a grand piano, a SSL G+ mixing console and one of the largest collections of high end gear in the UK.

I’ve aimed to curate a space where a band could come with nothing and still make an amazing record, so i’ve built my equipment collection to reflect the kind of music I love to work with. At any time the studio has a huge collection of instruments, drums, amps, and pedals to help realise a band’s creative vision. I’m incredibly proud that I’ve been lucky enough to work with bands from around the world who’ve come to the studio with nothing and were able to do just that.
